My photographic path has always been driven by a fascination with structure and organic design. For years, I focused on the power of the "essential," often using black and white to emphasize the dramatic interplay of light and shadow. Living and working in Mexico, I found endless inspiration in the architectural resilience of local flora, such as the agave and cacti. These subjects taught me how to look past the surface and focus on the sculptural quality of nature.
That foundation of high-contrast textures and minimalist compositions remains the heartbeat of my work, but my perspective continues to grow.
Expanding the Vision: Embracing the Color Space
While my roots are in the timeless depth of monochrome, I have recently begun a dedicated exploration into the world of color. This transition isn't just about adding a palette; it’s about a new way of seeing.
In my current "color space" work, I am exploring how hue and saturation can serve the same minimalist goals as my black-and-white photography. I am drawn to the subtle gradients of a desert sunset, the vibrant yet soft transitions of a blooming succulent, and the way specific colors can evoke a sensory memory. By integrating color into my macro photography, I am finding new layers of emotion and complexity within the same organic forms I have always loved.

My vision for future work is a harmonious balance between these two worlds. Whether I am working in stark black and white or a rich, modern color space, the goal remains the same: to isolate the extraordinary from the ordinary.
I am deeply committed to the craft of the final print. I continue to experiment with how various fine-art papers can translate digital light into a physical experience, ensuring that every image—whether a deep-shadowed monochrome or a vivid color study—maintains its integrity and impact when it hangs on a wall.
